WHY FABRIC SHOULD BE YOUR FIRST FOCUS WHEN PURCHASING PERFORMANCE POLO
When you shop performance polo shirts for your team or yourself, what exactly are you looking for? People usually ignore the most important factor – the fabric. The Technology of the fabrics determines if the polo shirts are comfortable, durable and meeting your physical activity needs. If wizards use wands to work magic, Pro-Celebrity uses a bedazzling, state-of-the-art array of fabrics to present performance polo shirts so stylish yet functional that you’ll swear they are magic.
For starters, all of Pro-Celebrity shirts are durable, breathable, and snag-resistant. Some, you’ll pull on and presto. No matter how hard you work or play, no matter how high the temperature soars, you’ll remain dry and comfortable. Thanks to Pro-Celebrity’s moisture-wicking technology, our microfiber polyester polos are virtually perspiration-proof!
Which, of course, makes them the top choice for team apparel. Not only do these shirts look and feel amazing, but also they’re perfect for embroidery, sublimation, and high-temperature screen-printing.
FROM OUR TEAM TO YOUR TEAM: OUR ‘WINNING STREAK’ OF FABRICS:
Wizards have their tricks, and here’s ours: our fabrics use specially shaped fibers, developed by our team to transport perspiration away from your body to the surface of your quick dry polyester polo shirt. Instantly, you feel cooler, less constricted, and better able to make that winning play or tackle the task at hand.

PIQUE COTTON HAS ITS PLACE…BUT NOT NECESSARILY ON THE FIELD, GOLF COURSE, TENNIS COURT, or ANYWHERE ELSE YOU WORK UP A SWEAT
From the moment Rene Lacoste, the seven-time Grand Slam tennis champion, stepped on the court at the 1926 U.S. Open championship in a white, short-sleeved, loosely knit pique cotton shirt with a flat, unstarched collar and shirt-tail longer in back than in front, the polo shirt was a hit.
Nor was it long before the popularity of Lacoste’s shirt expanded well beyond the tennis court – to the polo fields that earned the shirt its name, the golf course (President Eisenhower was an early convert), beach, and backyard. Increasingly the polo is a staple as well in the work place, and not only on Casual Fridays. Neither a t-shirt nor a dress shirt, it has become the perfect not-too-casual/not-too-dressy but STYLISH choice for virtually any event, particularly in the summer, thanks to its short sleeves and unparalleled comfort.
HOWEVER, remember this…
Like the automobile or personal computer, the polo shirt has evolved.
You wouldn’t drive a Model T or work on a 1984 MacIntosh. Don’t make the mistake of choosing an antique polo shirt!
The appeal of Pro-Celebrity’s new microfiber performance polos can be summarized in one word: breathability.
Still not convinced? Perhaps it’s because you’re thinking of polyester as it was in the 1970s and 80s. It was stiff and scratchy and not at all comfortable or breathable.
Yet likening today’s polyester to yesterday’s is like likening Rene Lacoste to a toddler with a plastic racquet. Pro-Celebrity’s moisture-wicking Hi Cool technology literally lifts moisture from your skin and places it on the top of the material, where perspiration then dries rapidly. How’s this for magic?
Better yet, due to the tightness of the weave, microfiber is wind resistant as well as water repellent. Woven with filaments finer than a human hair, our performance polos do not shrink, they resist snagging and fading, and are wash and wear.
LET’S MAKE SURE OUR POLOS FIT YOU PERFECTLY:
"Elegance is mainly adapting clothes to the situation,” Rene Lacoste advised. And this includes ‘adapting’ your high performance polo shirt to your high performance body type.
Some tips:
-
Polo shirts should fit but not too tightly. In other words, they should drape over your body but not reveal too much. As any magician would advise, leave a little mystery!
-
Sleeves should hit midway on your Bi-cep's, running no more than 2/3 down your upper arm.
-
Stick a finger between your Bi-cep's and your sleeve. You can’t? This means it’s time to order up a size. Similarly, if there is a lot of room, size downward.
-
Be sure the shirt’s tail doesn’t go beyond midway past your buttocks. Otherwise, it will wad up if you tuck in the shirt. Not a nice look.
-
Most stylists recommend you button at least one of the buttons.
-
Nix undershirts beneath polos, say the experts.
-
Your staple supply of polos should include black, white, and blue. But don’t hesitate to add pinks, purples, reds, and greens for some variety and fun.
-
While everyone agrees that polos work well with shorts, khakis, and slacks, the jury remains out regarding combining a polo with a jacket. If you opt for this look, choose a single colored polo and a jacket with a relaxed fit.
